POST 8: A SUBJECT YOU ENJOY STUDYING

 

The truth is that I like all the subjects of my career, although I prefer practical to theoretical. This semester I liked a subject that combined from both sides, it was notoriously "Scenic Analysis" that originally we had to go to see plays and then comment and analyze them, but due to the pandemic we had to see records of works that were on the Internet.

The teacher divided the classes into theory and workshop. In theory we saw issues such as space, characters, time, affectivity, emotions, he discussed these issues with different authors. And in the workshop classes we would see plays, and then we would write that we observe with different patterns of analysis, to later share our visions. He also brought guests to the class, people from the countryside, actresses, director, playwright, to conduct interviews where he asked questions, but there would also be space for the class to ask questions.

Here we were able, from an outside look, to discover and learn to create different effects on the viewer. The wonderful thing about commenting on what each one saw in the works was that there were different observations.

POST 7: HOW CAN YOUR MAJOR MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE

 

I think that the idea of changing the world is very cliché, a very Disney tale, if perhaps it cannot be impossible, but if we see reality in Chile people do not usually go to the theater, in reality very few Chileans "consume" culture. Obviously I have faith that theater can generate change, for something that I chose to study. What I mean is that for me to cause a change in a person is enough, because that person is a world.

Theater is a learning experience, if you have a reflection, a question, you want to investigate more than one topic, if it affects you in any way, and your mission has been accomplished.

For my theater it is a comfortable place, where everyone can experience what they like or want, which allows self-knowledge, that is why I think it should be part of the school curriculum (I speak from the place of doing) because through the game it is possible to learn.

POST 6: EXPERT OR WEBSITE

 

I do not have favorites in anything, because there is so much that as we are going to have a favorite that makes me too complex. And in the world of acting there are a lot of people to look up to. However, today I am going to talk about an actress who marked me.

Patricia Paola Fernández Silanes, better known as Nona Fernández is fifty years old, is a Chilean actress, writer, screenwriter, playwright and feminist. She grew up in a Avenida Matta neighborhood. She trained as an actress at the theater school of the Catholic University.

She has worked in different fields of acting, (television and theater) both as an actress and a playwright, she has won various awards throughout her career.

I had the opportunity to meet Nona Fernández when I was in third year, through a subject, the teacher got us to be present in the process of the play "I prefer to be eaten by dogs" where Nona worked as an actress, here I came to know more about her.

POST 5: A PHOTO AND ITS STORY

 

Hi, I think one of the first tech gadgets they gave me was a camera. They gave it to me because the one my mother had filled her memory. I love taking photos, but I have never studied on the subject, in fact my photos are quite ugly, but I love to record moments and my pets. My computer has a memory full of the thousands of photos that I have, I cannot erase them for myself, they are all special, I dream of printing them, but every time I accumulate more and I never print them.

As a child I used to do sessions for everyone in my house, but my favorites are from my dog ​​Renata, she is special because she was my first pet that I raised since she was a baby, but she died young at 8 years of a heart attack, and I remember her with much love and joy. This is my favorite, if I am one of those who puts clothes on pets, of course what he is wearing is mine and I only wear it for the photo. She was very tender, she let everything be done.

POST 4: A MEAL OR FOOD YOU REALLY LIKE

 According to me, I am not gloating, according to my mother I am because I do not eat meat, I am a vegetarian for the moment.

Something that I have always liked are pasta, I think I could eat daily and I would not get bored, because they can be accompanied whith different ingredients, the most common is tomato sauce, but it can also be with vegetables, egg, mushrooms, white sauce, vegetable meat, etc. 

I like pasta because they are quick ande easy to prepare, they are also filling jijiji I do not like to feel light belly, although I have to do it to be able to exercise.

Before the pandemic, when we went to eat in retaurant, I regulary asked for lasagna, because I love it, but the process is very long, so at home we are lazy to prepare it.

I eat pasta at once a week, usually two, no more because I have to eat legumes to maintain a balanced diet.

POST 3: MY FAVOURITE PIECE OF TECHNOLOGY

 My favorite piece technology is the cell phone. The firts was given to me when I was 11 yers old, because I was going to school far from home, so they needed to know if I was okay.

Today I use it to:

- Wake up. 

- Talk whith classmates, family and friends, for text messages and video calls.

- To enter classes when my computer does not work because it is old.

- Listen to music.

- Watch netflix.

- Take photos and videos.

- Enter social networks, the most important instagram, because I have a manicure account, so I get new clients.

As you can see, I use it daily and a lot, several hours a day, I prefer it before the computer because it is easier for me to use, since I have been using one for years, but from time to timr changing it for a more updated one. Nowadays almost all of us use a cell phone, and if we it we take it to all places, in fact in quarantine we need it to go out get the permit.

POST 2: WHY DID I CHOOSE MY MAJOR

 Some time ago I remembered that I had always wanted to be an actress, maybe they were other reasons, but I say that curiosity was always there.

In my family we always watch TV, so when I was a child I dreamed of being on TV, today I no longer dream the same. When I grew up I forgot about the theater, and every day I changed what I would study. In the year 2017-2018 I was brave, I convinced myself and my environment that I would study acting.

I love the arts, I think we don´t give it enough importance, for me they are different ways of learning and teaching, they are a necessity, In the future I want to study pedagogy.

Sadly, I started right in the year of the pandemic, so it has not been as I imagined, but even so it has been a good experience, I rescue learning new people.
